Caring for your jewelry

With the right care, your Luxumoon jewelry will stay beautiful for generations. Here is how to keep it looking its best.

Daily wear tips

  • Remove your jewelry before swimming, bathing, or using a hot tub — chlorine and salt water can damage metals and loosen stone settings over time
  • Take off rings before applying hand lotion, perfume, or cleaning products — chemicals can dull the finish and affect prong integrity
  • Remove jewelry before physical activity, gym sessions, or manual work to protect against knocks, scratches, and bending
  • Put your jewelry on last when getting dressed — after makeup, hairspray, and perfume

Cleaning your jewelry at home

For routine cleaning at home:

  1. Mix a few drops of mild dish soap with warm (not hot) water in a small bowl
  2. Place your jewelry in the solution and let it soak for 10–15 minutes
  3. Gently scrub with a soft-bristled toothbrush, paying attention to under the stone and around the prongs
  4. Rinse thoroughly under warm running water
  5. Pat dry with a soft lint-free cloth — avoid paper towels, which can scratch

Clean your ring every 2–4 weeks to maintain its brilliance. Avoid ultrasonic cleaners unless advised by a professional jeweler.

Storage

  • Store your jewelry in the original Luxumoon box or a soft fabric pouch when not wearing it
  • Keep pieces separated to prevent scratching — diamonds can scratch other metals and gemstones
  • Avoid storing jewelry in humid environments such as bathrooms

Professional servicing

  • Abrasive cleaners or rough cloths
  • Extreme heat (such as steam cleaning)
